  Description

  My new roommate is straight.

  And I’ve met him before…

Pressed against the wall of a nightclub bathroom during an anonymous (mind-blowing) hookup.

The last thing Texan alpha-hole Tony wants is me blowing his cover.

There’s only one problem: nationwide quarantine forcing us to live together.

Oh yeah, and the fact that Tony hates my guts.

That doesn’t stop him from climbing into my bed every night.

And it doesn’t stop me from saying yes…

  MAX PATEL

“You’re hot, I’m horny. Don’t read into it.”

He pressed my face against the bathroom wall and worked the front of my jeans down, just past my ass. He grabbed my ass and squeezed, pressing me into the wall harder.

“Nice,” he muttered, running his hands over my unimpressive curves.

That was the nicest thing he’d said to me all night. The only word he’d spoken to me in fact. Yet he had me pressed against the bathroom wall of a Back Bay dive bar with his cock jabbing into my thigh. The bathroom door handle rattled. I froze, a bead of sweat rolling down my neck.

  “Quiet…” he growled.

“You’re good right? Like no STDs,” I stuttered, as if his answer would have changed anything that was about to happen.

  “I’ll use a condom.”

  “Good. Yeah. Of course.”

“What? You don’t always use condoms?”

My cheeks flushed at his blatant judgement.

  “Sometimes guys don’t want to…”

I realized how stupid I sounded then, but he didn’t seem to care. He was just here to get his rocks off and I was just the warm hole he’d use. I didn’t mind my role here. Hell, it’s the best I could do in a bland lily white place like Back Bay. I closed my eyes as he squeezed lube onto my tight hole as I thrust my hips out to meet him.

“Stop shaking so much,” he complained.

  “Uh. Okay.”

He didn’t seem to notice my awkwardness. Or notice me at all. I was just a hole. Just his to use. My chest shuddered as I readied myself for a painful entry. The door handle rattled again.

“BUSY!” We both shouted at once.

“Shit,” he growled, “She’s gonna get the manager.”

He was pissed off. Heat flushed across my face.

“Better be quick then,” I said, only because I thought that I should say something.

He was quick. He thrust into me, his girth entering me quickly all the way up to the hilt. I cried out and he clamped his hands down around my mouth as he thrust into me roughly. He started pounding into me, assaulting my taut ass cheeks with an ardent hunger. I thrust my hips back out to meet him as he hit the tightest spots of my asshole. I groaned. My cock stiffened.

Too bad. There was no way a guy like that would at least suck me off when we were done. He railed into my asshole, grunting with pleasure every few strokes but keeping his hand clamped down tight around my mouth. I’d barely seen his face in the club. I knew he was cute. I knew he had a thick copper-brown beard and wore cologne that reminded me of my father ’s, that is it was an adult scent of bergamot and cinnamon that reminded you of a dark forest or a grandmother’s chai.

He groaned as he finished inside me. He pulled out and tossed the rubber into the toilet. I kept my body pressed against the wall until his hand smacked right across my ass.

“Pants up. We gotta get outta here.”

The EDM beat throbbed outside the bathroom wall.

“Yeah. That was cool. I didn’t catch your name?”

I thought I should be polite. I didn’t expect him to answer.

  “I don’t do names.”

“Right. Yeah. Neither do I. But if you want to do it again—”

“I don’t. Listen, I don’t have time to deal with messy queens. So I’ll ask you one time, are we good?”

  “Yeah. We’re good.”

I pulled my pants up, cheeks hot with shame and cock still unreasonably stiff.

He opened the door and peered out.

“Now get out. I gotta take a piss.”

“Bye. My name’s Max by the way.”

  “I don’t care.”

He slammed the door in my face and I disappeared into the crowd, rushing past the bouncers who were about to catch mystery-guy mid-piss. I considered waiting for him to come out and trying to get his number again, but he’d called me a messy queen, so fuck him.

I wandered back towards the bar and saw Julissa holding my spot with Jackie.

  “He’s right there!”

“Hey, what’s up. Did you finish my cocktail?”

“You were gone for like ever!” Julissa yelled.

“I told her you were probably just getting some guy’s number. Did you?” Jackie asked.

  “No.”

They didn’t notice my flushed cheeks. I played it cool.

“Well whatever. This place is supposed to be a gay bar but it’s boring,” Julissa said.

“I don’t complain when I have to go to your bars.”

“I don’t do bars anymore, Max. I’ve got a boyfriend,” Julissa pointed it.

  “Right. He’s a fucking peach.”

  “Stop being bitter, Max!”

  “I’m not bitter. He’s a dick.”
<
br />   “Okay,” Jackie chimed in, ever the peacemaker, “Don’t fight please. Not tonight.”

“What’s special about tonight?” Julissa asked.

  “We’re celebrating Max…”

  “For what?”

“For going an entire year without sex!”

  Julissa cackled.

“I could drink to that,” she teased.

  They raised their glasses.

  “Cheers!”

  “Yeah. Cheers.”

“Oh come on, Max. It’s a joke.”

“Who says I haven’t had sex in a year?”

“Um, you have?” Jackie reminded me.

“Right. Well, cheers. I’m not exactly proud of it.”

We downed drinks. Jackie kept glancing over my shoulder, a strange expression on her face.

“Are you having a seizure or something?” I asked.

“No. There’s some cute guy back there. I think he’s checking out your sister or something.”

Even in a gay bar, my friends assumed guys were looking at Julissa and not me.

“Too bad,” Julissa sniped, “I’ve got a boyfriend.”

“You’ve only mentioned it a thousand times. I think we’ve got it by now.”

“Max, do you always have to be so bitter?”

“Guys!” Jackie hissed, “Stop. He’s still looking. Max, turn around and tell me if I’m crazy.”

  “I don’t want to…”

  “Max!”

  “Fine…”

I glanced over my shoulder and saw him staring. The guy from the bathroom. They thought he was checking out Julissa. I tried to stop the smirk from edging across my face.

  “What’s so funny?” Jackie slurred.

  “Nothing.”

“This place is washed, let’s get out of here,” Julissa announced with a dramatic yawn.

“You just want to meet up with Mark,” Jackie accused.

  “So what if I do?”

“Fine. Let’s get out of here.”.

I was a bit too drunk to deal with either of them. We stumbled outside to the Uber and Jackie dropped us off at our place before heading home. Julissa linked arms with me.

“So, twin brother… You look like you have a secret.”

  “I don’t.”

Julissa giggled. She was always giggly when drunk.

  “I do,” she said.

  This was about her, then.

  “What is it?”

“Mark is moving in with us.”

  “What?”

“Look, it’s my house, Max. I can move Mark in if I want.”

  “I wasn’t saying—”

“You’ve always got to be so negative,” she complained.

Julissa let go of my arm.

“I’m not negative. I just prefer to be consulted before you move someone in.”

“He’s my boyfriend. So it’s my choice.”

“You’re right. I just… I don’t know how I’m going to get along with him. Does he know that I’m—”

  “No. He doesn’t.”

  My face fell.

“It’s not a homophobic thing. I just didn’t think it was my business,” Julissa pointed out.

“Just as long as he doesn’t have a problem with it.”

  “He won’t.”

“You said that about the last guy, too.”

“You could try being nice,” Julissa pouted.

  “Why?”

Julissa pouted and turned the keys before opening the door to our apartment.

“I don’t know how I put up with you, Max.”

  “You have to.”

  “Whatever.”

She stormed into her room and slammed the door behind her. She was such a pissy drunk. Whatever. I wasn’t the one being a complete ass.

  MAX PATEL

I hated myself for showing up at the same bar the next week around the same time. This time I didn’t bring Jackie or Julissa. I slid onto the bar stool and leaned forward. The cute bartender looked me up and down and the slightest smirk crossed his face.

  “What can I get you?”

  “Uh… margarita.”

  “Drinking alone tonight?”

  “Yup.”

“I think I saw you here last week.”

  “Yeah.”

  “Must’ve gotten lucky.”

  My cheeks burned.

  “Not really.”

“Maybe tonight will be better, boo. You should come by next week. We’re having Drag Queens from Brooklyn do cabaret.”

I wanted to tell him that it wasn’t really my thing but I didn’t want him to think I was one of those self-hating guys. He slid the margarita across the table and winked, his winged eyeliner giving his eyes a magical twinkle to them. I couldn’t help but smile, the way I always did when I thought a guy was cute.

I hated that I was waiting for him. I hated that I was hoping he’d be here. He’s a prick. He’s the type of guy who will fuck me in the bathroom and not even give a shit what my name is. I didn’t even know he would be here. I sucked back my drink quickly. The cute bartender leaned over.

  “Waiting for someone?”

“No,” I said, though the heat across my cheeks might have betrayed the truth of the matter.

“Too bad,” he said, “You’re cute. Maybe when I get off my shift we can get a drink together.”

  “Maybe.”

  “Cool. Need something stronger?”

  “Whiskey.”

“Ohhh, whiskey. You all manly tonight. Get it girl!”

I appreciated his confidence in me, but I didn’t feel manly. I felt like a fucking idiot. There’s no way that asshole was here. I was making a fool of myself. I finished my second drink and was waiting for the bartender to get distracted by another customer so I could slip off without seeming like an asshole. I shouldn’t have cared what he thought about me. Before I could turn around to leave, I felt hot breath on my neck.

“Don’t turn around. Meet me in the men’s room.”

The hair on the back of my neck stood on end. I recognized that voice and my body responded to it. If I had any sort of dignity, I’d turn around and tell him to face me like a man, not drag me to the back of the club to pound my ass mercilessly. Fuck. I hated that I was going to respond to him. I hated how my need for him superseded common sense. He stalked off and I slid my drink across the bar and followed him. The bartender caught my eye and winked. He probably thought I was going to take a leak, not going to hook up. I knocked on the bathroom door. He answered hoarsely, “Come.”

I pushed the door open and he grabbed me by the neck, kissing me. What the fuck? Was I really just a body to him? I stuck my hands out and pressed them against his abs. They were solid. Everything about him was solid. He pushed me against the wall and his weight pinned me there. He pulled away from me for air and he finally looked at me.

  “Names,” I breathed.

  “No,” he grunted.

  “Names or this doesn’t happen.”

“I can fuck any guy in this club who I want. Why would I give a shit about you?”

He was such a dick. Why did I let this asshole kill me.

“Stop fuckin’ starin’ at me,” he growled.

  “I’m not.”

“Are you going to get your cock out or what?”

Fuck. I was hard. He could see, not like my jeans left much to the imagination. I cursed myself for listening to Julissa’s fashion advice because she left me utterly exposed to this dickhead.

  “Names,” I insisted.

I’d have to stand up to him now or I’d just be his personal cum dumpster whenever he came here. You came here too, I reminded myself. Shut up, Max. Shut up. Shut up.

  “Tony.”

  “Max.”

  “Great.”

He pushed me up against the wall again and pinned my arms over my head. He moved from my lips to my neck and I wanted to stop him just to ask him what he found so attractive about me. Was it just that I was easy
? That I was there? But again. He had come again. He couldn’t have known that I would be here so maybe it was just random. Fuck. I was over thinking this and then his tongue was on my neck and his hand on the buttons of my jeans. His tongue was warm and he sucked on my neck. I moaned unconsciously.

He pulled away for a moment.

  “Suck or fuck?”

Was it that simple? Did the only words we have to say to each other have to be about sex?

“Hurry up,” he said, “My cock’s rock hard.”

I detected a slight Southern twang to his voice. I’d only just heard Tony say enough words to detect it. I wanted him on his knees. I wanted to feel his mouth around me, those soft lips enveloping my fleshy staff and for a moment or hopefully more than a few moments, I’d have some semblance of power over him that could come close to the power he had over me. The bathroom was heating up. It was only a matter of time before someone knocked on the door.

  “Suck.”

He wasted no time. He dropped to his knees and unbuttoned my pants. I wore special smooth black boxer briefs that hugged my thighs and protruded my bulge away from my groin in a masterful arrangement. He kept a serious expression on his face, dark hair falling just over his eyes so I couldn’t get a clue about what he was thinking. He pulled my briefs just over my ass and grabbed my ass cheeks firmly between his palms.

Goose flesh spread across my skin as anticipation surged through me. He dragged his knees across the bathroom floor and wet his lips. My erection stuck out and his eyes crossed momentarily as he pasted his damp tongue on the bottom of my helmet. I groaned and he took the entire length of my cock into his mouth.
